During the latter part of the twentieth century, Sidney Greenberg
was one of the giants of the Ameri-can rabbinate. Rabbi Greenberg
tells the story of a man he spent some time with who had the habit of
repeating a popular expression. No matter what the topic, the man
would say, "You can't prove it by me." Subsequently, Rabbi Greenberg
came to realize that this statement, "You can't prove it by me," sums
up the problem with Jewish religious life in the United States.

FROM THE PRESIDENT
As I look back on this past year, I am thrilled with the religious
services, events, programs, and fun we have sponsored at Temple
Sha-lom. As a family of congregants, the Temple, Sisterhood, and
Brotherhood have all contrib-uted to make this a memorable year.
On Wednesday, May 23, 2012, please plan to attend the an-nual
congregation meeting at the Temple – 6:30 PM .
