WORDS FROM YOUR RABBI
I grew up in New York City. In 1964, in New York City’s Borough of Queens, a
woman by the name of Kitty Genovese was brutally stabbed to death in a
building court-yard while dozens of her neighbors heard her cries for help,
but no one came to her rescue or even bothered to call
the police.
